Stress can lead to stroke. How do we cope? How do you cope?
#1 I get sick. My liver gets angry and says. "I've had enough!" Then Immune system goes down. The rest follows. If you are familiar with what I do, when I am stressed, it is BIG TIME! And since I don't take it out on anyone, I take it out on mmme! This does not happen when:
# I breathe. Left lung, right lung. Right lung, left lung. Breathe through the shoulders, breathe through the spine. Breathe within the heart. Inhale slowly, hold breath, exhale down more slowly. release the bad throughly! Breathe with palms open. Imagine the liver smiling. If this does not work then I do either of the following:
# I don't eat. There is no explanation but you can just imagine how you could swallow a demon when upset! Anything can be gulped down easily when you are not thinking.
# I smile at the mirror. This does not often work if you do not talk to yourself on the mirror first.
# Get your favorite lipstick. Apply it on your pouting lips. Smile. If your favorite color does not work, get the one you don't like. The horror will make you laugh!
# I clean the bathroom and the toilet. Stress-busting, this one is! You imagine that you are in the middle of a war zone and that you are going to win this one.
# Not all of you have this but I have 5 stress busters- in human form!! just thinking about them makes me float on cloud 9!
# Laughter is the best medicine! I laugh at my predicament. I laugh at the impositions of the world I live in. I laugh at the pettiness and the silliness of expectaions. I laugh at myself. I tell me: you do not have a solution to everything.
# sometimes, just die. die for the moment. then rise again. reset!
