A Harbinger of news

Looking at mail boxes can be as interesting as watching people or trees in my case.  You can sometimes guess the person behind the mail box, but a lot of times, they don't project at all.

Nevertheless, they are interesting as they perch on a fence or a pedestal of its own.
Some mail boxes serve a community as they look like a condominium when stuck all together!
Mail boxes are mail boxes and should serve only one thing- and that's quite obvious.  And who would fancy mail boxes?  Others, fancy jewelry, clothes, houses, paintings, buildings...

but I do!  I love the humble mail boxes that I passed by in my trip to  Northern California.  Some stood singly, waiting for its purpose every day, alone.  Others, stood on perches together like a flock of herons keeping each other company.  (they are just in my memory though)

They wait for good news or hope for it.  There was a time during the war when mail boxes brought news of doom and death.

Mail boxes are loyal, faithful to their duty- never leaving their post, come rain or sun.

In one of my walks, I passed by one that made me backtrack to see what I thought I saw.  A mail box for sure but... you be the judge.  This is so far my favorite (!!)

Happy to Welcome a Neighbor

A happy painting by Chati Coronel
I am adopting a gorgeous painting by  Chati Coronel while it waits for the gallery exhibition.  It is not shy at all to be seen and admired.  Meanwhile, it will just be on my wall until a rightful owner finds it.

just a thought i thought someone thought we should have thought

Vignettes Swept Out From Under the Carpet

"... I was talking to an enlightened friend not about hockey but of being discouraged in myself and humanity’s inability to turn away from sailing down the advancing sinkhole. She reminded me that my thoughts were damaging for the planet: In order for me, humanity and the planet to shine through these trying times, each of us needs to live and think loving thoughts all the time because we are inter-connected as one, and our negativity or positivity is so contagiously powerful that it can change the vibrational pull of what happens to our planet…or in the next case, an outcome."

I'm lovin the bu(r)ds

The last few weeks was made of rolls and rolls and rolls of words.  I lose count when I talk.  In my rough estimate, I have blabbered all the way from June to July.    My words if strung together can tie a ribbon around the moon- not that I needed to talk so badly- it's my job!

And yet...

I feel that there is more I needed to express.  Maybe i have not laughed loud and long and often enough or cried that I felt there was a constriction lassoed around my throat.  The days had been so bright and blessed so maybe I needed to do something in jubilation (?).

So...

I tried to let my brush lead me.

  birds in motion!
birds with wings like flowers...

Now I feel so much better and so much more relaxed like a bird that soared and dove and got dizzy in its flight.

Today, I am loving the birds on my roof all the more and I just did a bit of talking!

soon there will be spikey red

Rambutans are beginning to make an impression in my garden .  Pregnant with young buds, soon the clusters will bring the boughs close to the ground and I will fill my baskets with spikey balls of red once again.
Everyone is invited to the feast!

it does not look promising this year but maybe I can still hope for more
last year's bounty
